| Preparatory phase (2011-2014)
Engineering and geological explorations, feasibility study and preparation of project’s documentation of the Nagornaya coal mining reconstruction and working seasonal Beringovsky port;
Finalizing of search and evaluation works and detailed survey at the Amaam coalfield, preparation of exploitation of coal resources, implementation of feasibility study’s construction and technical project’s coalfield development;
Engineering and geological explorations, feasibility study and preparation of project’s documentation of a new deepwater seaport’s construction, and a motorway and railroad’s building which will link the Amaam coalfield and the seaport.
Preparatory phase’s estimated expenditures are 2. 900 million rubles (hereinafter referred to the prices taken for 2010).
1st phase (2014-2017)
À. Construction of underground coal mining and subsequent black coal preparation of the reconstructed Nagornaya coal mine’s capacities of 1.5 million tons per year. Reconstruction and modernization of the seasonal Beringovsky port. Construction of the coal station with capacity of 5 million tons per year which can dispatch 1.5 million tons of coal for 4 months of navigation.
Estimated expenditures are 6. 000 million rubles.
Design capacity’s reach is 2014.
B. Construction of the main hydraulic constructions of a new deepwater port (it will probably be the Arinai port) and the first coal station with productivity up to 2. 5- 3. 0 million tons per year. Capacities of underground mining, preparation and intrafield coal transportation are being simultaneously constructed with the building of the Arinai port at the closest to the Arinai port the Amaam coalfield having 2. 5- 3. 0 million tons of export coal per year. Gas and piston power stations and intrafield power networks are being constructed in the Arinai port and at the Amaam field.
Construction of the first local railroad is also being held. It will go from the Amaam field’s freight terminal to the Arinai port (having its length of 29 km). It is the most expensive part of the railway with traffic capacity intended for full development of the basin’s field, i.e. production of 12 million tons of export coal per year.
Estimated expenditures are 36. 000 million rubles.
Design capacity’s reach is the end of 2016- 2017
C. Holding of massive search and evaluation, exploratory, engineering and geological and other exploratory works on the territory of the supposed Alkatvaam field in order to form useful coal storage which can provide underground mining not less than 5 million tons of coal per year.
Estimated expenditure is 6. 600 million rubles
Estimated expenditure of the 1st phase is 48. 600 million rubles.
2nd phase (2015-2019)
Tripling of the coal station’s capacity in the Arinai port till 7. 5 million tons per year. Capacities of mining, preparation and transportation of 5 million tons of export coal are being simultaneously constructed at the Alkatvaam coalfield. Creation of degassing and methane collection’s systems, construction of gas and piston power station and intrafield power networks works are being organized at the Alkatwaam field. The second local railway is being constructed. It will go from the Amaam coal field’s freight terminal to the Alkatvaam field’s freight terminal (being about 50 km in length).
Estimated expenditure of the 2nd phase is 38. 000 million rubles. The prices are taken for 2010.
3rd phase (2017-2021)
Growth of the coal station’s capacity of the Arinai port till 12 million tons per year. Additional capacities of mining, preparation and coal transportation of the Amaam, Alkatvaam and Bukhta Ugolnaya fields are being simultaneously constructed. The third local railway is being constructed. It will go from the Alkatvaam coal field’s freight terminal to the Beringovsky port through the Bukhta Ugolnaya field’s freight terminal (being about 40 km in length).
Estimated expenditure of the 3rd phase is 39. 100 million rubles. The prices are taken for 2010.
The third phase period’s implementation is about 4-5 years (2017-2021).
